Donte Stallworth

Donte Stallworth has been suspended indefinitely by the NFL. It is nice to see Goodell cracking down but I wish that indefinitely in the NFL really lived up to its definition. Too often players , Pacman most recently, have been suspended "indefinitely" only to be reinstated the next season. Although Stallworth handled the situation far more admirably than any of his predecessors his crime was too severe for any amnesty. A message must be sent that making the wrong decisions will always have their consequences. If anything Stallworth probably deserved more than what he got but due to his surprisingly strong character and the kindness of the Reyes family aa plea bargain was reached without a long and arduous trial. Stallworth manned up to his mistakes admirably hopefully he takes his punishment just as well.
